Aim: This report will analyse and evaluate the definitions of skills and qualities that are necessary to social work, and assess which is the most important to be an effective social worker, by discussing the skills and qualities obtained in previous or current experiences. Limitations: The sources were mainly based on secondary research, this means that it could be unreliable and outdated due to changes over time as some data could be insignificant to this present situation and it could also provide inaccurate data. Methodology: Sources were collected from previous research, books and online for this report. Introduction: Social workers need to have a range of skills and qualities in order for them to be successful in their job. There are a range of these skills and qualities which I will be discussing in this report. Part 1 A skill is the ability to do something well; expertise. A quality is the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.
